How we test
The name is the method: products get tested in a real room — my home and my desk — not unboxed for an afternoon and returned. A review only ships once the honeymoon phase has worn off.
- Bought and installed like a normal buyer. Real walls, real WiFi, real clutter.
- Lived with, not demoed. Each review states the testing period and what was actually used day-to-day.
- Dated facts. Prices carry a "price checked" date; reviews carry a "last tested" date. If firmware changes a verdict, the article gets updated, not quietly forgotten.
- Cons are mandatory. Every review lists what bugged us. A product with no listed flaws wasn't tested hard enough.
- Commission never touches verdicts. If affiliate links are present they're declared, and the ranking would read the same without them.
